Building community in the name of Christ
You will be welcome in Calderbank Church! We occupy a building in the heart of a village which was in the heart of the industrial map in the nineteenth century. Nowadays Calderbank sits between Airdrie and the M8 corridor but retains something of a village feel. As the church we are glad to bring people together both for worship and in various other ways which build community and wellbeing. We have excellent links with the adjacent Primary School and good collaborative relationships with the Roman Catholics who worship at Corpus Christi also in the village.
Physically we have a large worship space and adjoining rooms and halls of various sizes. The toilets and kitchen were very recently renovated. Socially we gather on Sundays at 9.30 am and at different times during the week, when clubs and societies take place. We also offer ourselves as a base for the Trussell Trust Foodbank, both opening to the public and storing goods. And spiritually (foundationally!) we are rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, who came that we might have life in its fullness. May you now be blessed in knowing his peace and joy.
The Rev. Dr Peter Donald is our current minister.
